Low Code solutions

In our previous article we gave you a brief introduction to the Power Platform and today we continue our discovery of this platform by looking at what Low Code is.

The term can mean different things to different people when they first hear it. When we talk about Low-Code, we mean tools in which you need to write a small amount of code to get results that would normally require several lines of code in a traditional programming language.

The rise of Low-Code/No-Code solutions has been a remarkable phenomenon in the technological landscape, shaping the way companies approach software development and digital transformation. These revolutionary approaches democratize the creation of applications, allowing individuals with varying levels of competence and experience in software development to actively collaborate in the development process.

It's important to bear in mind that Low Code and No Code are not the same thing, although they are often confused. While No Code doesn't involve programming, Low Code, no matter how little, always involves some code in the development of solutions.

The democratization of software development not only boosts operational efficiency, but also promotes creativity. Cross-functional teams can now collaborate closely to design and implement solutions specific to their challenges, freeing them from the constraints of generic solutions.

However, as these solutions gain popularity, the need arises for careful management of governance and security. Although they provide flexibility and speed, it is crucial to maintain standards and policies to guarantee data integrity and security.
